Documents You Need for a PST-Exempt Vehicle Purchase in BC

Having the right documents ready before you apply is the single biggest thing that speeds up a PST-exempt vehicle purchase in BC.

Required

• Valid Certificate of Indian Status card (or a Temporary Confirmation of Registration Document plus government photo ID)
• Confirmation of band name and registration number
• Proof of reserve delivery address, or confirmation the purchase itself will occur on reserve

Helpful But Not Always Required

• Proof of income (pay stubs, Notice of Assessment) for financing approval
• Driver's license
• Trade-in documentation, if applicable
